Voicemail allows callers to leave a message when you are unavailable, on another call, or when calls are routed to voicemail.
Call Switch can support voicemail for individual users or shared/team mailboxes, depending on how your service has been configured. The CallSwitch One platform includes voicemail features such as user or team mailboxes, voicemail-to-email, PIN protection and notifications.
Setting up voicemail
The exact steps may vary depending on your Call Switch setup, but voicemail setup will usually involve:
- Enabling voicemail for the user or mailbox
- Setting a voicemail PIN, if required
- Recording or uploading a greeting
- Choosing whether voicemail notifications should be sent by email
- Confirming where unanswered calls should route
If you have administrator access to the Call Switch portal, you may be able to manage voicemail settings directly.
If you do not have portal access, please contact the Fastnet Helpdesk and we can advise.
Voicemail greetings
A voicemail greeting should be clear and professional.
For example:
“Thank you for calling. We are unable to take your call at the moment. Please leave your name, number and a brief message, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.”
