Fastnet specifies a contention ratio of 8:1, meaning the service is shared with a maximum of eight other businesses.
The service is also designed to scale. If your bandwidth requirements increase as your business grows, higher-speed services can be provided where available.

SFTTP or standard FTTP – what’s the difference?
The biggest difference is the upload speed.
For example, Fastnet’s standard Ultrafast FTTP currently offers services such as 1000Mbps download with up to 115Mbps upload. With Ultrafast SFTTP, a 1Gbps service provides 1Gbps download and 1Gbps upload.
For businesses that mainly browse websites, receive email, and download information, traditional FTTP can still be an excellent and very cost-effective connection.
But businesses increasingly send as much data as they receive. Cloud computing, remote working, hosted applications, cloud backups, video conferencing, and VoIP all benefit from significantly faster upstream bandwidth.
That is where SFTTP comes into its own.
SFTTP or a leased line?
A dedicated Ethernet leased line remains the right choice where a business requires fully dedicated bandwidth and the highest possible service guarantees.
However, not every business needs a leased line.
