FTP Upload
To add and remove files from your webspace, you need to use an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client.
There are many FTP clients available - we recommend Smart FTP, which can be downloaded for free by clicking here.
Once downloaded, you should open up Smart FTP, and you should see the following:

In the Address area enter the URL of the website (for example, www.fastnet.co.uk). In the Login area enter the username that we sent you, and enter the password that we sent you into the Password field. Once all of those areas have been entered, make sure that Anonymous is unticked and that the Port is 21. Then press enter on your keyboard. If nothing happens, click in the Password area and then press enter.

Smart FTP should now look like the above screenshot. Now you are logged into your FTP space, and are ready to upload. To move a file across, you will need to select the directory on your computer where the file is currently stored. Locate it in the Local Browser ahead by clicking through links to find a file. In this case we are looking for a file called index.html and a picture called 20

Select the files by clicking on them. Now we want to move the files into our webspace so we can see them online. All you do is you left-click your mouse, and then hold the mouse button down while you drag across from your local browser into your webspace.

If there is a file already with the name, you will be asked if you want to overwrite the file that is in the space already. If you want to then click on Overwrite. If you don't want to overwrite the file, then click on skip.

Once you have dragged the files across you will then be able to see them in your webspace (as shown below). The files are now in your webspace and can be viewed on the internet.
